I woke up with pink eye on Dec. 4. I went to the dr. and put in my drops regularly. The actual "pink eye" part of pink eye finally went away, but the crust/gunk when I wake up in the morning is still there!! Now, this morning I woke up and my left eye is red again. Did I give myself pink eye again or did it just never leave??
Also, where can I go to get perscription drops on a Saturday???

It was never cleared. Call your doctors office, they should have an out of hours contact number. Also, make sure you sanitize all of the surfaces you touch. Conjunctivitis is normally transmitted by the hands. Things that you may not think to do are the handle on the fridge, the doorknobs..anywhere you touch.
Good luck, HTH pinkeye sucks!

Since pink eye is so contagious, I would be sure that the first step you take is cleaning your pillow cases. A lot of people over look doing that and then when they lay down at night, they contract pink eye again.
Also, wash your hands a lot, especially when you touch your eye. Sometimes that is done unconsciously.
If you have contacts, don't wear them for 5 days once you start taking drops also, just to be safe. And be sure you put in a new pair of contacts in and throw the diseased ones away.
When you get pink eye in the future, which you probably will, be sure they avoid contact with others 24 hours after you start taking eye drops.
The gunk should clear up a little after the redness goes down.
If it persists for more than 4 days even though you are being extra sanitary, I would visit an eye doctor.

Pink eye... and all eye problems actually are as a result of Liver problems... (believe it or not)

If you treat the symptoms and fail to see or heal the underlying organ that is causing the disease, then you will have trace symptoms and even reoccurring illnesses.

Are you an angry person?

In Chinese medicine, If you heal the organ causing the little explosions all over the body the little problems will not come back again,

Find something to take care of your anger and your liver which is effected by your anger and your eye gunk will go away.

In the meanwhile, boil some water and make chamomile tea and let the tea bag rest over your closed eye. Make the tea stronger and make an eyewash with it. (no sugar and milk of course)

and eat lots of celery!

It is helping... trust me!

Let me ask you this...are you should it's actually pink eye? I was treated for pink eye when it actually wasn't and ended up losing my eye to Uveitis. I'd get checked out by an Opthamologist, a specialist who deals with eye diseases. You can never be overly cautious when it comes to eye health. Take it from me...

you never really got rid of it the first time. try using polysporin eye drops, you can get this from the pharmacy and you won't need a prescription. They work well for just about any kind of eye infection.
