If you have hypertension history in your family then you need to be careful. I'm not sure if someone so young should be on blood pressure medication, if that's what you mean by "combined pill". You have normal readings, although the 90 might be considered as high. Yes, I would say get a second opinion as far as medication is concerned, otherwise no, you are normal. But more importantly find out about family history related to this. Eat right and exercise. Starting now will ensure a healthy lifestyle for tomorrow.

While your blood pressure is a little high, repeat a little high, it's nowhere near anything like a dangerous level. Your doctor hasn't given you medication to lower it because evidently he considers it unnecessary at this point, and I would tend to agree with him. I'm no expert, and not a member of the medical community, but I did work in a hospital years ago, and had to take vital signs regularly. And consider the ages at which your various family members had the heart attacks---I would imagine that it was well over their fifties. Another thing you can do is cut down on fatty foods, which also, besides the salt, contribute to high blood pressure. By all means continue the exercise, the reduction of salt, but don't obsess over your blood pressure. Stress also contributes to high blood pressure.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

Your BP is perfectly normal. Good going! Not a thing to worry about at all. Textbooks used to say 120/80 was perfect, but they have revised that lately.
The Combined pill??? Is that some sort of BCP? If so, no worries, your BP now is good enough that you can stand the risk.

This is a total normal blood pressure. Optimal BP is 110/70 area and you are right there, so I don't think there is any cause for concern. Just keep a check on it and watch for erratic changes in it. Then, that would really be something to worry about. If it stays steady, I wouldn't worry....that's just me, though...

A high blood pressure reading is:
* above 135/85 for the general population
* above 130/80 for people with diabetes.
You are fine.

The bottom number is getting high, but it is in the "norm" range. You can bring it down some by getting enuff sleep at nite, eating healthy, and exercise. Wt. can effect the blood pressure too. as well as stress.

your bp's fine... the normal bp for most individuals have a 120 (+or- 15 )over (+or-15)80.then again a percentage of the population do have a normal high or low bp... so its all about knowing your baseline to know whether...your bp's off the charts.
