Also, I had some upsetting news yesterday (which is why i couldn't sleep). Could this be a factor? Now I feel faint and nauseous and have an upset stomach. I am supposed to be travelling (flying and train) tomorrow and am worried.

Sleeping pills usually require 8 hours of sleep, so it could be a factor. The effects your feeling now could also be symptoms of a lack of sleep. You could have fainted because you locked your knees. I'm not sure if stress played a part in it, but here's a web site to read up on fainting. I would try to stop worrying, get a good nights sleep, if possible, and if I was you, if I didn't feel well by morning, I'd cancel the trip your planning, and go to the Hospital. I'm hoping you'll feel good and be able to make the trip.

the sleeping pill is probably a factor - depending on when you took it and how strong it was, it may still have been affecting your system and confused it when you were standing up when your body was expecting you to be asleep? If you were stood on the metro, not moving because you were too busy thinking about your bad news, then if your circulation was sluggish because of the pill, that may have made the passing out more likely.

if you're still feeling faint and nauseous now and later, chances are that it's a separate lurgy - maybe the beginnings of a cold or a virus - which has just attacked you. go back to bed and get your strength up!

Did you eat anything this morning? This happened to my brother in a crowded street and it was because he wasn't sleeping well, hadn't ate anything that day and combined with the crowds he passed out. I think it is the same for you, your worrying news and bad sleep have contributed to it. Don't take any more tablets and make sure you have something to eat and drink as soon as possible.

I'm no doc but it's probably exhaustion/stress related. To help with the passing out, got to your chemist and get some smelling salts, (yes they do still sell them!) I passed out on a train last year and it was a horrible experience. I feel much happier knowing i have smelling salts just in case.
I hope you are able to relax over the next week and feel better soon. x

If you did not overdose, it shouldn't be because of the tablet. You should look into the reasons why you need the tablet. Tension, depression, anxiety may have caused that. You should seek medical advice before you go away from home.
