i have been going out with this girl for a year and we broke up a few months ago due to family problems etc.

we shared our first kiss together and we both were each otheres first love.

i simply can't get over her...all her friends call me sad for still hangingin on to her. they also say that my ex told them that she is completly over me but they may be doing this because i am not very friendly with them and they do not like me to much.

from my point of view shes still in to me and my friend also says that she is as she has told him that indrirectly.

should i still pursue her as i have tried to move on meet new people but i have found it extrememly difficult

She's playing you by telling her friends one thing and letting you think another. She doesn't want you as you want her badly and she can make you roll over like a puppy. If you stopped hanging around her and made it look like you liked somebody else. She would be back to like a shot. She's a clever girl as she can get you to eat out of her hand.

Sorry to be so harsh but it's true

1. cool down. family plays an important part in our lives. respect that. why not you just enjoy your life. dont stress about it. dont stress yourself. i believe you're still young. you have a long way to go. be strong. just have faith but dont make others look as you as a desperate guy.

2. ask her. stop assuming. you wont go anywhere. if you want the truth, go to the one who can tell you the truth. not by indirect informations. there's no harm. i know it's hard to treat her as your friend after more than a year together. get all the courage you need and call her up. dont go around the bushes. just ask her.

how to react:
if she said she still have feelings for you, i wish you the best. but dont take things too fast. just let things cool down first. just be patient. if both of you are fated, nothing can stop that.
but if she said no, move on. hang out more with your friends and family. they're more important people to think about than your ex who does not have anymore feelings for you. they deserve more attention from you.

all the best.
:)

You're wasting time. What you are going through, every man has gone through. Buck up. Get some balls and stop being such a pu*ssy. Date a bunch of other chicks and make her jealous. Living well is the best way to move on. If you are such a loser that you cannot attract any other woman, then she probably won't come back to you anyways.

You can't force yourself to get over it. Of course you are sad. If you weren't, you'd be insensitive and inhuman. It shows you are capable of love and caring. I love hearing stories about men who care and have feelings. Thank you for sharing it. Time heals somewhat, but remembering that first love will make you a better person, a better mate and a better all around human being.

family problems? what sort of family problems caused you two to break up? another thing to mention is her friends. girlfriends stick like glue during breakups. they will say things to cause you do go away. thing is, if you want to know how she truly feels, perk up the courage and ask her rather that using other people's words for the truth. first loves are always hard to get over. it's the pain of them.

Talk to her. Ask her. Then you will know. Then go out with her or get over it and go out with someone else and you might even forget about her. Very few of us marry the first girl we kiss.

i guess when you first love someone and share ur first kiss ... or ur first whatever its so meaningful. ya will always feel something for that 1st love.
sometimes ya got to love enough to let go tho. give her, her space and see how it all goes *go with the flow* atleast she is still there as a friend if nothing more ... cling to that.
good luck :D

Keep yourself busy. Spend time with friends and family. Maybe if you are a bit inaccessible to her, maybe she'll try to pursue you.
