well i've seen this really cute guy quite a number of times but i just don't have the courage to go up to him to say hi, so i had been thinking if i should get one of my guy pals to pass him a little note that i wrote and i'll just hang around near them and smile at him when he turned ard to see who i am..is it ok like that or are there any other better alternatives?
i'm a really shy girl..i don't even dare to look at him in the eye!

Arielle, first of all love your name...
next, I am 50 so if it sounds like a mom talking it is...you may choose to stop reading this right now, that is up to you, but in my life experience, some things just don't change...like having a crush on someone and not knowing how to give them the hint.
Back in the old days, when I was a teenaged type, we used to do the note thing...but...even if you are shy I think it is a better move for you to hand it to him yourself.
Wear your best outfit, write the note and walk right up to him with your head held high and hand it to him yourself, big smile, hand it to him, wink, turn and walk away....then the ball is in his court and he can do with it what he wants. You can't make someone like you but you can let him know. If he rejects it and does nothing at least then you know, if he responds, not too bad for you!!!!
You need to get some kahoonas, shy or not, first time is the hardest. Your generation is bolder and braver than we were. You would be surprised what a bit of boldness can get you. For all you kknow he may be shy too and doesn't know how to approach you...
It still isn't easy being a teenager, I feel for you but get it out there and don't take it personally if he isn't thrilled. I would do the note thing but keep it light, just tell him you would like to get him know him better..goood luck..old mama

I used to do that with my boyfriend, and he was okay witht he note passing. We were both shy and personally I find it cute. It works for different people; but its worth a try. But be prepared for the worst like not replied or even being disrepected. Sometimes even if you're shy, you still have your dignity to uphold. Go for it, and grit your teeth. Good luck.
P.S. I had been with him for 10 years before he passed away. If you get what I mean, you'll go ahead and do it, won't you?

Some would view that as "high school" behavior and be turned off by it. My suggestion would be to talk to some of his associates and see where he likes to hang out, and then show up there when you know he's going to be there, the downside to that is he might already be taken and you'll see who your competition is. You only live once.

Boys like eye contact! Then they also like it if the girl just comes out and says it. Plus boys hardly ever pass notes that is a girl thing.

Go up to him yourself or with a guy pal. If you wait to long than someone else could snatch him. Eye contact is the key lets him know you are intersted.
