Your not going to MAKE a cat sleep anywhere she doesnt want to sleep. Would you like to be made to sleep somewhere you didnt want to ?. Maybe she doesnt like the bed you picked out, or she has already found a *Bed* on her own.

I have owned seven cats throughout my life and not one of them will do what you want. I have managed to dissuade them from doing bad things like walking on counters or getting into the house plants. But I have never had luck convincing them to do something they don't want to do. I did buy a "cat tent" once and they seemed to love that. They liked the safety and security of the cover over them. See the site below for one. Maybe something like that will work for you. Good Luck

Try acting like you don't want her sleeping on it. Cats are just that way. It's the independence thing. They must do things their way. Just like when you go buy them a new toy and they play with the box it came in and leave the toy lying there.

You can't make a cat do anything...that is what is so cool about cats!! Dogs sleep in beds, cats sleep wherever they feel like it...

You 'shall' not. If you want an animal that does what you want it to, then get a dog. It's not in a cat's personality profile to obey humans. You picked a good screen name for yourself.

I've never met a cat yet that sleeps where other people think it's supposed to, leave her to it I'm sure she'll pick somewhere comfy

you could try placing the bed in a moor hidden place and sprinkling some cat nip in it that could attract her to the bed.
