I would like to know how long does it take for anyone from Myanmar to make a passport. I heard it takes a year. I am wondering why it takes so long to wait for a passport. And are they allowed to go overseas to work? I hope to hear from anyone of this country regarding this matter.

What I need to know is from any citizens of Myanmar for the waiting time to get their passport. How much do they have to pay for it? It really matters to me.

I think it depends on the circumstance.

It not only is difficult to get, but more difficult to get a visa to other countries, even other Asian countries because the Burmese will work for less pay than their counterparts in Thailand and Laos. There are special work permits for working certain jobs in northern Thailand, however. Myanmar is a communist government, with a dictator; paperwork is always difficult in places like that.
