Its has been proved that they respond to any names that are not lenghty....
U call her name at the time of feast, they will get used to it..

My cat Gracie responded to her name but then her sons Scraper and Pantheir responded to ther names. My cat Mia knows her name. A cat responds to their name no matter how the name ends in.Just like a dog will respond to their name.

Mine respond to their names and none of them end in ee-i.
But, in answer to your question - yes cats will respond to names ending ee-i as much as they respond to names ending in anything else

No, all of my cats "know" their names. I think it is more voice infractions than anything. My cats are named Polo aka Po Po, Lola aka Lola Lo, Tobias aka Tub Tub (He's like Garfield), and Snowball aka no balls, or no no balls, or no no. All of them come, or look at me when their names are called. I say a different tone per cat. That helps them to distinguish that I'm talking to them. I'm no expert on the subject, but it seems to work for my cats.

I have 2 cats named blacky ang whitey and they respond to them very well so yea I agree

Well, you should choose a name that can be changed from a strong letter like "t" to a soft letter like "i", such as Cricket (my cat's name) I call her Cricket if I'm angry at her for doing something wrong, but then when I want her to come to me I call her Cricki! By calling her by the strong letter, she knows she's done something wrong and I want her to stop, and by calling her by the soft letter she knows I love her and I want her to come over to me or something.. :)

Cats only respond to tuna fish...everything else is just, "Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah..."
