The pros pace the course for exact yardage to the hazards, the greens, and dog legs. The pros are precise to the 2 decimal points, which is not possible for amateurs.
What you need to do it take note of how far you hit your best, average and poor shots. Sometimes you score poorly because of bad club selection. For example, you always hit into the hazard fronting the green.. so the next time just take one extra club.
Also, when you play, try to find out the best place to miss your shots. Even the pros make mistake, so make sure you are left with an easier recovery shot when you get into trouble.
Another thing to look out for is the green. Remember how much borrow you took and general slope direction of each green. The next time faced with a similar putt, you'll know how to handle it.

The easiest way to learn golf like a pro is by following "The Simple Golf Swing" program. It's primarily a 31 page eBook that teaches golfers how to make solid contact with the ball, how to avoid hitting fat, how to avoid slicing, how get more power, accuracy, and consistency in your swing. Consistency being the number 1 golf skill.
You not only get the eBook though, you also receive a ton of extra material including video, lessons on putting, driving, chipping, sand play etc. Here is their official site: http://www.golfswingguru.net

Caddies on tour do all kinds of things besides giving the player the club. They have a notebook on the depth of the green distance to the pin the front of green and the back. They know the slope of the green for instance some holes are bested played away from the pin so the ball can feed back towards the pin.
If you want some good advice take one more club depending on pin position if its i the back of the green take only enough club to reach the middle of green so if you miss it will be on the front of the green with lots of room to work with . If its on the front of the green take enough to get to back.
always choose the club that gives you the option to miss never come up short of the green and never over shoot the green in most cases. When pins accessible fire at them dont fire at sucker pins go for the Green light when pins are in a good location.

well it really all depends on the player
if you look at john daly..he needs the basic yardages....to the front....the hole...so forth
however if you would like to tmodel ur game after the numba one playa in HISTORY aka tiger then he knows the yardages to the hazards, the pin, the bunkers, from the trees to the middle of the fairway, how the wind is going to be blowing, the weather conditions, he maps out each green to get the break, he even knows the yardages to the bathroom
ok so i made that last part up but the point is
him and stevie spend bout 2 -3 hours workin on this stuff so that tiger wont be surprised by anythin he sees out on the course
good luck wit ur game
and remember this ur best answer

Golfer: "Please stop checking your watch all the time, caddy. It's distracting!" Caddy: "This isn't a watch, Sir, it's a compass!" That sounds like something Bush would say hahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha LOL
