My Christmas tree is decorated with memories.
--Ornaments my sons made
--Pictures of us as babies
--Ornaments given to me for special occasions or by special people
Decorating the tree every year is a trip down memory lane. Because of this, I keep every ornament in its own box, labeled with the date and the name of the person who gave it to me. If it came from a special place, I include that, too.

It sounds really good. Is this the same as you do every year or do you change the colour scheme. I have one that is traditionally decorated with all colours of bauble and silver tinsel. With multicoloured lights on. Another is a Fibre Optic tree which has a bulb in the base and a motor that rotates it and the fibre optics give all different colours as it rotates. Need a half lit room to show it at it's best.
Nice seasonal question so have a happy and blessed Christmas.

I recently moved out with my fella for the very first time and found an xmas tree in the attic.
Its just an average green tree so i sprayed some fake snow ontop of the branches (which turned out really well actually, was expecting it too look naff)
Its decorated with pink & white glittery and matt baubles, white lights and a crystally style beady garland (not the tacky kind!)
It also has a decoration (a pink glass heart) that me and my sister used to fight over when we were little on it!
And have wrapped all my pressies in pink christmas paper and white velvet ribbon and piled them under the tree and it looks fab! just dont want to give my pressies out now!!
happy christmas!!

We bought a real tree this year - in a pot - so that we can put it out in the garden until next Christmas. I changed all my decorations this year. I have gone for the traditional look. All the decorations are wooden/tin/string and in traditional colours. Some of them have got moving parts - bells ring, arms and legs move. I really love it! Has anyone else made more of an effort with Christmas decorations this year because it feels too mild to be Christmas? Excellent Christmas question!

i decorated my christmas tree red and gold this year with white lights
last year it was blue and silver and white lights
next year i might decorate it green and silver(you might think that the idea isnt so appealing but when you do the lighting rite you can really get the green visible)
but the point is this-choose only 2 colours (or max. 3)and decorate your trees with bells and musical shaped ornaments
anywayz, merry christmas and a happy new year!!

My tree is green and the lights are fairy lights, all white. The decorations are all gold and white.
I had a multi-colored tree and got fed up of it.
It's amazing how much richer white and gold make my tree look. Everyone oohhsss and aaahhhs over it now.

regardless of you do be certain you have a sparkling decrease on the backside earlier you place it in the stand. it is the type one killer of Christmas timber. those are pine timber and have been decrease down quite a collectively as in the past. Pine has countless sap in it. That sap collects on the backside and seals up the wound. in case you fail to decrease away various inches only earlier you immerse it water it will be no longer able to entice the water up and could dry out very straight away. There are commercially obtainable preservatives which you will upload to the water. They artwork surprisingly plenty as long because of the fact the tree can draw the water up. After placing the tree in the stand, permit it loosen up for various hours. The tree will settle and while it does the stability could substitute and you will could reset it returned. in case you carry close embellishes on it too quickly they could drop off and break because of the fact the branches hunch returned to their well-known place. For protection sake, do no longer go away the tree lighting fixtures fixtures on collectively as the tree is unattended. .
