the religion is a lot older than what people say about it, people date it back to 1500BC according to the Aryan Invasion Theory, which ahs been debunked and it's not fair that the history of a religion like hinduism is being forgotten about, no on even realizes that the city of dwarka, an ancient city involved with Krishna, has been found off the coast of gujurat under the water and it can be dated as far back as 7500 BC most, which would predate sumerian and ancient egypt, and the dates of the births of Ram and Krishna have been proven accodring to planetary positions and astronomy, Ram 5114 BC I think and Krishna sometime in 3000 BC
people need to stop putting hinduism down, and no this person is not trying to convert you, i'm so sick and tired of having to always explain things about hinduism because of the stupid stereotypes, if hinduism can tolerate all religions, why can't anyone tolerate hinduism? when has it harmed you???? don't bring in the arguement of india and pakistan, that's not a hindu and muslim conflict
by the way, I'm an agnostic but my family is Hindu and I will always be Hindu, even if I doubt god, hinduism allows you to choose your own path instead of following one the bible or quran lays out and because that is my culture and I do like to read up on Hindu and Buddhist philosophy, it's not as superficial as western religions
just respect hinduism as a religion, no matter how different it is from yours because you don't know anything about it, not even many of those who follow the religion, the philosophy behind it is very complex and interesting, like the theory of multiple universes which is a debate in science today, or the theory of evolution which was mentioned in one of the hindu texts, indirectly, and how Hindus had measured half of the age of the universe to be 8.64 billion years, and the universe is 16 billion years old

Whats your point anyway? I am a Hindu and I agree with you that it is an ancient religion. But that does not change the fact that we have a lot of things to improve upon before it can be acceptable to the world in general. The original religion has been tainted and tarnished by the priests and idiotic beliefs by modern day 'militant hindus'. If the world is presented by the original Hindu beliefs, it can be seen that there is NO MAJOR differences in Hinduism and other estabalished religious beliefs. Then you can start claiming teh greatness of the religion. Till that time - dont tarnish our image by blatant militancy of religious belief.

Hinduism is much older than that....and no one is asking any one to convert to it, because it is old.
It is a truth and if someone cant digest it let them live in ignorance

Do you think that because is one of the oldest religions around the world we should convert to it? Do you think that because is that old it has the truth? Let me tell you this, every body is free to believe what ever they want, no body has the right to tell you what in nor in not to believe, I believe in Jesus and I have powerful arguments and reasons to trust and to believe in Him, but you don't see me trying to convince other that my ideas are the truth. Religion is like politic, a theme that shouldn't be mentioned here because the difference of opinions and here will be always the people who are too dump to have an intelligent discussion about either of this themes and they always finishing with insults, due they don't have the right arguments to protect their weak points. So my friend, congratulations because your religion is almost as old as civilization is, but many of us picked our religions already and we, the ones who believe in something beyond humanity, think that we are complete believing in what we already believe. It was a good leason of history any ways.
P.S.
Aum, What about if I than rather to vomit in my church I do so in the statue of ganesha? Do you think he, she, or what ever it is, will curse me? So because it's a "god", let him defend his self?
