I wasn’t sure what the question was boiling down to, but here’s my answer.
People will take the Bible out of context sometimes; it all depends on their religious background and education. It is very important to respect people’s opinions and to debate your faith honorably. I see time and time again religious bigotry on this site and ignorance and it is quite a shame. Only when we open our intellect up to another’s perspective can we achieve peaceful transference. In regards to defending the “evil” within the Bible well there are evil deeds in every dogma. Evil acts are part of human nature and society. If a person is defending the evil within religious texts than the whole foundation of the faith should be analyzed and not just from one part of the text. The major religions of the world are all founded on goodness and have a creed for their followers to practice which is always based on GOD, goodness, and perfection, evil is not a theme in religion unless the religion is based on Satanic rites.

No matter who it is who reads the bible, if they think it is a perfect blueprint of devine contact with God, and a guideline for moral and social harmony, It IS " Out of context "
It is history and pedigree of real people confirmed in the Koran.
It is mixed with legend and myth, much wisdom and is highly edited.
Jesus brings us the New Testament and the Romans are responsible for editing out all the material that could influence and empower the Christian movement 250 yrs after Jesus died.

Our version has enough in it to justify any one sided point of view.
The answer to this question entirely depends upon the true nature of the person armed with its scriptures.

People use the bible to defend their own perceptions of life Good/Evil or Otherwise

No, it's used to try and avoid evil. I'm not sure what you mean by "evil within the Bible", but there is evil in this world, and one of the things that opposes it is the Bible.

No,

There are many verses that if you read only part it obscures the meaning. For instance an Infamous cult in England justified Incest in thier group by using the verse that said "to the pure all things are pure". This was a particularly evil interpretation of a verse taken out of context.

The Bible is a work of fiction. It's one of the famous middle eastern tales and legends.

There is no good or evil within. Just sit back and relax.

Has anyone ever taken you out of context? It happens all the time and the same is true of the Bible. You have to read the whole thought to get the truth of it.

If you will really read the Bible you will find that the evil in the Bible has been caused by satan and his followers, read on to find that if we follow JESUS and turn to him satan has little influence on our life,he'll try hard but if we keep the faith we will win.God loves us all and sent his son JESUS to die for us,but if we turn away from him then we allow evil or turmoil into our lives.Praying for ya bro.
