there is goarmy.com.. and you can use the yahoo to search for the U.S.Marines.. the U.S.Air Force and the U.S. Navy.. If you are married or are planning to be, the Air Force is the most sensible. they don't promote as quickly as the Army or Marines. It is tougher to be promoted because they have a more unbiased system to promote. the Navy is the same, but everyone spends sea time , 6 mths minimum. very few go stateside their whole time in service, but I have met one who did. He wanted to be on a ship and never was assigned.. go figure. that is the military. they don't always make sense..so decide what you want to do first before you decide to talk to any recruiter.. only believe 1/2 of waht they say.. they ruff stuf is usually close. the USAF assigns you a job and you will stick to it.. the easiest job that will help you in civilian life is dental hygienist. they work all days 4 1/2 maybe 5 days a week. u can study and get ur degree at a local college. If u want out at the end of your term, u will have 3 + years experience when u hit the pavement. If u r not sure if u want to make it a career, choose an area where u can do the same in civilian life.. x ray tech or emt/paramedic, and respiratory tch, physical therapy tech and any medical jobs are good. surgical nurse, is good, nursing with a specialty. be prepared to serve with all you have.. learn form ur time n basic and remember all u can from there. good luck. one more thing, some rec ruiters will try to tell u that a guaranteed field like electronics , is great.. but if u bargain with them for a specific job, u can get a guaranteed job assignment. don't take less than a guaranteed job , ok? play poker.. say no.. tell them u have a better offer. make them serve ur interests not thiers.
