To me, it seems that liberals are attacking Christianity. Other religions seem to be exempt.

It would be physically impossible to ban God. Christians don't need a government approved Christmas celebration. It is just a holiday, Christianity is found in the heart not on a single day a year. It has only been a regular holiday for less than 100 years and only to oppose the expansion of Communism in the early part of the 20th century. If you fear that the government, or liberals, is going to take God away from you, than you didn't have it in the first place.

I feel that what alot of the people that answered missed is that they are trying to shut out the Christian part of the Christmas holiday. It is supposed to be that Jesus is the Reason for the Season. Yet no town can any longer put up a Nativity scene due to protests. The nativity whether it clerly represents when Jesus was born, it does in the hearts of true christians. I felt they were awesom and a very good reminder why the season. Not that they were worshiped but appreciated. But I guess a reminder like tha taskes away from the full blown commercialization of Christmas. My family will remember Christ and his sacrifice on Christmas and Giftd will be exchanged after the first of the year to help stop the commercialization. They have also taken the ten commandments out of our halls of justice where does that leave justice, In God's hands in the end but it does not help those that neeed help here, as much. This countrywas founded on Christianity and now someone is trying to abolish it. I just thank God that he has not allowed us in this country to be persecuted for our faith.

Since when has God belonged to the Christians? God existed long before Christianity, and has existed long since Christianity. Why should only Christian holidays be represented in America.
I am born and bred in America. I believe inGod. I am not a Christian, though I believe in His Holiness Jesus the Christ. I believe in God.
I do not drink, smoke, mess around, use vulgar language, etc. Am I a liberal? It's so easy to label everyone, isn't it?
Verily, the people who rejoice in the day of the feast and enjoyed the tree [1] (which) was decorated, following the custom of ancient times, are the people of superstitions. By the Majesty of thy Lord! Were they in the time of Christ, they would turn their backs and would not behold His smiling, glorious face; but today they in the shallow waters of their superstitions without discretion.
[1 Christmas tree.]
Therefore, thank God for His having privileged thee to attain nearness to the Blessed Tree which is grown upon the highest Sinai and is set aglow with the fire of God's love, calling unto responsive listeners. I supplicate God to heal thee from all troubles and diseases and make thee a sign of guidance and a standard of the Supreme Concourse in those regions and particularly at Green Acre.

No. Liberals are not trying to ban God.
They just want u to follow the constitution which separates the religion( any religion) from the State. Most modern nations are founded on this basis. The State has no business to interfere in things which of personal nature. Anything wrong with that?

"War on Christmas" is the most hilarious thing I have ever heard. I seriously wish I was a salesman when I hear people silly enough to repeat that phrase and believe in it, because I could make a fortune off those people selling them bridges and tunnels.
Life must be good if people can invent such silly boogeymen to champion the demise of such as "War on Christmas"
All my love,
Gen. Scrooge, The War on Christmas.
