Bush is following orders from his father,now he is stuck and cannot make a decision on his own ro withdraw troops from Iraq.
He will fall out of grace with his father if he does that,and he does not want to admit that he was and is wrong.

Bush is reckless. He won't give into anything to Syria and Iran. Especially Iran!
The problem in Iraq is that there is limited regional support. Bush can't just keep Iraq hostage forever. The longer he maintains his policies, the carnage will continue.
