Some people say that women love a man in uniform, but i don't think it's the uniform. I think it's because they know we're trained to follow orders, and will eat garbage.

jack, yeas its a Marine thing...our most prized nickname...
to answer the original question, yes, sometimes they will. especially in your home town for some reason(if your home isnt a military town)...some like the man in uniform thing, some like the macho attitude and look(my wife...she loved when i came home in cammies), and some because they see it as a way go leave their home town...unfortunately it takes a very special and strong women to be with a Marine. you will find one that likes you for you. i met my wife as i was about to get out and she stayed even though i didnt have a guaranteed job in sight. my advice though is to not worry so much about it, it hapens when it happens.

I'm sure its a little of both. I'm married to an Army man. Actually we were both in the Army at the same time. Just don't get too serious, you seem young. You have your whole life ahead of you.
Thank you for your service!

Every base has people living around it that see service men as a good catch. Steady pay, no lay offs, and real medical. It's just the way life is.

Some will. But looks and a uniform are shallow reasons to like anyone. The important question is: what are you like as a human being?

I have met a sunner on myspace a few months ago and he's in the army ... he's going to Iraq late tomorrow .... but thats not the point ...
I like him because he's funny, sweet and sensitive and as long as you let your personality come though all will be fine
