worm medicine for the husky. The Interceptor is for 51-100lbs. Will it harm her if I give her a pill or should I cut it and give to her. This might sound like a silly question, but I just don't want to harm my dog. Any suggestion will be appreaciated.p.s. I order their medicine through 1-800 pet meds so it will take about a week or so for me to get hers. Thank you.

Hi, I had to do this myself. It is fine to split the pill in half and give it to him. you can use the other half next month. By then your other pills will be in, and then no worries mon. The extra dose won't hurt your dog, but this way you stay within the weight range and you get an extra month! Thanks for being such a great owner! Have a great holiday- dd

Go ahead and split the pill in half for the winter. If it were spring/summer, I would tell you to go ahead and give the whole tab. Since mosquito's are the culprit for Heart-worm disease, you can safely give the half. If in March/ April you still have pills left over, give the whole pill until you can get your Husky the pill for it's weight.
Also, Interceptor fights intestinal worms as well, so you are a great pet owner for giving it all year round! Kudos

That is given by weight, so no I would not advise that. As long as you are out of mosquito season, go ahead and order more pills, it won't hurt to wait for them. She'll be fine skipping a week or two

If you miss a month every once in a while, that is ok. Especially this time of year, when there are no mosquitos around. Your husky will be ok till you get more, no problem.

I just took my puppy pitbull to the vet yesterday, and he weights 21lbs, and they gave me a 26-50 pill to give him. They said to give him the whole thing and he would be fine.
