I have found from personal experience that the best workout for weight loss is a minimum of 45 minutes per day of aerobic exercise. At the same time. You need to make sure you are consuming enough calories to support you body in daily functions but not more than you need so you'll lose weight.
1. Find your daily caloric requirements for your ideal body weight on line at http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/issa64.htm. I put in the weight I wanted to be so I would know how many calories was enough to maintain that weight.
2. Eat at least 3 meals a day.....this is important so your body doesn't go into 'starvation' mode and conserve the calories you are consuming.
3. It's best to exercise in the mornings.....it increases your metabolism for the entire day. But you should choose your exercise time so that it's at a time that you will be most likely to do it.
4. Stick with it. You body will need to adjust to a new lifestyle. Good luck!

This really depends on how good of a shape (whew...my english teacher would be saddened by that sentence) you are in now. Start slowly so as to not injure or hurt yourself. The rule on weight loss is to work in your target heart rate zone for 20 minutes 3 x daily, or lump that all together. If you can do cardio for 60 minutes daily, the fat will come off. Drink at least 64 ounces of water to aid your body in ridding itself of the fat, toxins, for muscle repair and endless benefits. Eliminate a lot of sugar, white flour and fried foods from your diet. Boost your consumption of calcium and protein. Best wishes!!

If you want to stay healthy and fresh and energetic, you should work for minium 45 minutes a day. Which can be broken up into 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening.

Eat sensibly, burn your calories.

Have fun.
