When a guy says he would love you if he was single what does it mean?
i was dating a guy for a while we both were very physically attracted to one another and things broke up as i was upset about my job etc a little needy at the time...he always stares at me when we are out and the other day i apoligised to him and he said i was one of the most lovely people he had met and that initially he was intimidated by my job ( i have quite a high powered job and earn good money) he also said he thought i was gorgeous back then and still does, i said i was leaving and he kept on grabbing me and said he would love me...if he was single..When i chatted about one of my ex boyfriends he got jealous and said 'what about us?'. He has only just started to date someone else..i have always been infatuated with him and vice versa..what should i do should i ask him for a drink as friends, i think he could of beena potential one

Maybe he is mad at you because your career comes first...
And you should never tell your date about your ex boyfriend...

Just leave him alone, he sounds like a nut.

I have to wonder why he is dating someone else if you are still alive and available. The truth of the matter is that if he really wanted you he would stop at nothing to have you. He's keeping you on a line to be pulled in if nothing better comes along. Girl, cut him loose and find the real deal. IFind someone who will embrace your strength not be intimidated by it.

i think you should move onwards and upwards if he wanted you he would have asked he is stringing you along incase the other relationship does not work out! whatever way i look at this the guy sounds like areal ar..! if you have such a high powered job then surely u must have a brain???? why must women persist in chasing men who are not available/interested it is demoralising please go and read some feminist writings before you turn into a doormat!

sounds like he wants to string along two women at once. to be honest. Maybe he needs time to see where this other relationship is gonna go, and if it doesn't work out, he'll have a backup. (love is a game, ya know) It's easy to be critical of that, but many people would do it

He's letting you know one of two things

1) his relationship is not that important and you can probably steal him away or
2) He wants you to be something physical on the side.

Either way, It doesnt sound like he's got a very integerous core.

Do better.

man, i think that you should get back together, i know it's probably easier said than done, but if i was in this situation i wouldn't let him go and its quite obvious that he's REALLY into you. I think you should go out and have a drink together and talk some things over because i personally wouldn;'t give this guy up, plus id be thinking forever about what coulda been. good luck girl! =)

It sounds to me like he wants you to be a backup in case things don't work out with this other woman, so you need to think very carefully about whether that's what you want to be.
