I had my eyebrow pierced for about 7 months, before it was very obvious the skin the was pushing it out (it became painful at this point too). If I were to repierce it would it be rejected again? Is it bad to pierce the same spot over again?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

yes, and in some cases it will last longer the second time around, because there's now scar tissue there to hold it in (assuming you get it in the same spot). I would wait until the 'wound' is healed then try again. Do you have other piercings and did they reject also? So bodies are just like that, and no matter where you pierce it will reject.

If you pierce it in the same spot, you'll have to deal with scar tissue and it'll probably just reject again. The more times you pierce the same place, the worse the scars and pain. What about the other eyebrow? If you did vertical last time, try a horizontal. 7 months seems pretty fast for rejection to be moving that fast. If your skin doesn't like surface piercings, stick with other kinds that require more skin and won't be rejected as easily (ie. lip, nose).

It's hard to say without seeing it.. But the thin skin makes me believe that it may be rejecting. It does not matter how long you've had the piercing.. there is always a risk of rejection with surface piercings. If I were you I'd just take it out if you suspect that it is rejecting because it could leave a nasty scar if you allow it to reject itself.

You can always try a different kind of metal, or, as the girl above me said, plastic. It will probably hurt more than it did the first time, because you'll have scar tissue there, but I would wait a while before I tried it again. Make sure you take care of it properly & keep it clean. My bellybutton got REALLY infected but I managed to get it to heal & it's been fine ever since. Hope it goes better for you the second time.!

My friend's brother got his pierced 3 times..each time it rejected it..but he had it for a while and when it came out he'd just get it done ago..he stopped after the 3rd time and now he has a scar there...

I wouldn't advise it simply because if your body said no the first time it probably will again. Also, a second suggestion you might try if this is something u would really like to have is to try the plastic body jewelry as u might be alergic to the metal. Hope this helps........
