Do older women like younger men? What's with in dating range and whats not?
When I was 18I had a sexual relationship with a 34 year old woman, she broke up with me because I told her my real age. I met her at a bar( How I got in- Fake I.D) and we kicked it off ever since. We both shared the same level of intellect, independence and maturity...so then why when she found out I wasn't 22 but 18 she broke it off and told me to never contact her ever? I mean I know a lot of men whom are 30,36,45 years old whom could never call themselves half the man I was at 16, 18, 19 years old.. 18 and 22 are only 4 years apart, whats the big deal? Is maturity soley defined by age?

Its not the age difference or the level of maturity but it's the fact that a person changes a LOT between 18 & 23 and then again from 24 to 30.. Anyone who is older than 30 knows this and so doesn't want to go through that growth period with someone else again. Even mature people do a lot of growing in this time. Not necessarily growing up but growing as a person.. they become who they are. Besides.. her friends and family etc all know this too which is why the whole situation would be too difficult.

Maturity is not solely defined by age, but wisdom pretty much is. And yes, there is a HUGE difference between 18 and 22. I'm going to be turning 22 this coming March and I can honestly tell you, I turned into a completely different person from the time I was 18.

Older women sometimes like younger men, but often, when they consider a long-term partner, they consider age to be an issue, for various reasons.

As far as sex-drive goes, women around age 40 SHOULD pair up with men around age 20. They would be a perfect match, libido-wise.

Women are very harsh self-critics. If the see themselves in a certain light, it is hard for them to decide otherwise. This includes the role of "cradle robber" to many.

Me, I lost my virginity at 17 to a woman in her 40's (the mother of a friend).......and ended up marrying a woman 13 years my senior. So, yes, generally, it can be worked out, but it's rough...

hi,

I beleive it wasn't the age but the fact you lied about you age that finished it. Im 44 (almost 45) and my partner is 26 weve known eachother for well over a year amd together for a shorter time and it works fantastically on all levels. Hurdles no need to be overcome one big one for us was the fact he is the same age as my son but they noiw get on great and in the very very near future will be moving in together.
