women sometimes get a bad wrap for this needy issue if she tells a man what she excepts and don't settle for less she is called bossy, therefore she have to make these decisions based on her needs so that she can weed out the bad guys the abusive guys and cheaters. therefore its up to a good man that can take on the challenge of a woman needs and don't call her needy

Nope...that definition does not meet the qualification of "neediness"....

"Neediness" is the characteristic that some people have, that no matter what is done for them, they need more and more. More attention, more love, more sex, whatever. There is a distinct inability for these people to see the limits of other's patience, love, and tolerance. These people literally consume their partners in time, like a child consumes a milkshake, draining him or her completely.....

These seem like two different questions.
1.To have standards is good.(It might imply that you are self sufficient ,confident, and assertive.)
2.Being considered needy is when you put all the responsibilty of your happiness on a guy.(It would be considered insecure, unsure of oneself, and a doormat.)
How do you imply these two terms in a sentence together, when they mean opposite things.?

That just sounds like she is a person who thinks they are entitled to everything and deserve nothing. A needy woman is one that keeps constantly calling and nagging about something she wants, usually involving the partner's participation. What you are talking about sounds like the Princess mentality, prevalent in today's modern American woman.

The problem with the "I want to be treated like a princess" attitude is that 99.999999% of women who say that have done nothing on their part to deserve to be treated like a princess. Ask yourself "What have I done to deserve to be treated like a princess?" If you can't think of anything, and usually, you can't, don't say stupid things like that in public. It's embarrassing. It makes you look stupid. Instead, focus on what you can CONTRIBUTE to a relationship. If you don't give, you will never receive, and you'll never ever be happy in a relationship.

Look at Princess Diana. She has fostered world peace and love by excersizing her diplomacy and charisma at charity events and diplomatic functions for selfless causes. She has given so much to the entire world, and she herself never asked anything for herself. She is a true princess. In the end, she got a drunk chauffeur that killed her. She truly deserved more than what she got. Now, all of the women that want to be treated like a princess, please compare yourself to her. If you fall short of her character, and you've gotten more than a drunk chauffeur that may have killed you, then you should keep your mouth shut and be thankful for what you have.

That is not the definition of needy.
That may be an example of setting unrealistic demands though.

Obviously the guys you have dealt with could not fulfill your needs, which is why they called you needy.
If a guy cannot fulfill your needs, it is best for you to find another guy who can.
