Gosh, that sounds very cold, doesn't it?!

Long story short.....he is 51, I am 40. We've lived together six months. We met online.

From the beginning....when he moved in....he has not been frisky, at all. Maybe, once every two weeks. He says that he loves me, he says that he is attracted to me. He enjoys watching naughty movies, etc.

Yet, he almost never wants to have sex. I just don't understand. Something just isn't right.

I was married for 18 yrs. and basically had no sex life, then. I don't want to end up in that situation, again.

What am I to do? I have discussed this with him 3-4 times. He says he understands, etc. Yet, nothing ever changes.

The problem has to do with Biology, not emotions, I think.

You are 40, which is usually the peak of a woman's Libido. Men peak at 18-21, and it goes downhill from there at varying rates.

Ideally, 40 year old women should find 20 year old men, if we want to match libido's here.

Take him to a doctor, and have his Testosterone level checked. That is usually the cause of lowered libido in men his age. There are medications that can help. Does he take any medications now that might affect his sex-drive?? If so, the doctor might be able to suggest ones that do not.

As a last resort, there is injection therapy for impotency, which, although impotency may not be his real problem, can help. It's hard not to get "frisky" when you have an erection that lasts 4 hours.......

OK' here is your problem. Sounds like he has lost interest in sex. A lot of women by the time they get to 40 they get a little more frisky. Men' some of them when they get in there late 40's to 50's testosterone levels drop. And when they do so does his di**. He needs to see a doctor about it and start exercising daily. 1 other thing. Men are meant to have sex long into there lives. It is not suppose to stop at 50. As long as his health is good he should be able to have sex into his 80's. Diet and exercise go a long way. And not allowing oneself to get to over weight.

Men lose their libido after their mid to late 40s. There really isn't anything you can do unless you make it very interesting and original for him. If sex is really an important factor for your love life, then get a younger man.
