Density of methanol = 791.8 kg/m^3

Volume=mass/density
=1000/791.8 m^3
=1.262945 *1000 litres
=1262.945 litres

1000 liters would be a metric ton if it were water. Methanol (wood alcohol) has a density of 0.7918 g/ml therefore it would be more, since it is less dense than water (1.0 g/ml).
