Goes to show that the men that put the Bible together had an agenda. That's why the Bible shouldn't be taken so literally. however the teaches of how to live life and respect each other in the Bible are priceless. It's just difficult sometimes to discern what is literally important, what is figurative in nature, and what was changed to hide something or further an agenda. The Bible has gone through so many changes over a very long time period with many different versions it's hard to say what's right sometimes.
I.E. Mary Magdalene has a very important role since she was there at Christ's tomb (what that role is is under debate). But earlier she's accused as being a whore...hm-mm, just makes you think a little about the differences of Gods messages and men's messages in the Bible together.

You missed the part in Kings where a beloved daughter is sacrificed, or say Paul and his charming notions. . . but none of that really matters. This is why religion has to be allowed to evolve with the times. Women (and people in general, really) had fewer rights and expectations back then in that culture. That doesn't mean modern Christians have to be like that now. (pity that some of them are.) Whatever we believe, we have to use our brains and decide what is right or wrong, and not rely on milennia old doctrine for that.

Now in the new testament, we find Jesus telling others not to stone a woman unless they are without sin. The first people to learn of His resurrection were women. So was the first person to see and recognize Him alive again. Paul says in Galatians 3: 28 "There is neither Jew or Greek, There is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

not all women are bad in the Bible. Ex. Mary, Ester, and Ruth to name a few. you should also look closely in the Bible and see the curces men go through.

Luke 1:39
[ Blessed Among Women ] Mary didn't waste a minute. She got up and traveled to a town in Judah in the hill country, straight to Zachariah's house, and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby in her womb leaped. She was filled with the Holy Spirit, and sang out exuberantly, You're so blessed among women, and the babe in your womb, also blessed! And why am I so blessed that the mother of my Lord visits me? The moment the sound of your greeting entered my ears, The babe in my womb skipped like a lamb for sheer joy. Blessed woman, who believed what God said, believed every word would come true!
1 Timothy 3:8
The same goes for those who want to be servants in the church: serious, not deceitful, not too free with the bottle, not in it for what they can get out of it. They must be reverent before the mystery of the faith, not using their position to try to run things. Let them prove themselves first. If they show they can do it, take them on. No exceptions are to be made for women—same qualifications: serious, dependable, not sharp-tongued, not overfond of wine. Servants in the church are to be committed to their spouses, attentive to their own children, and diligent in looking after their own affairs. Those who do this servant work will come to be highly respected, a real credit to this Jesus-faith.
# 1 Peter 3:4
Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in. The holy women of old were beautiful before God that way, and were good, loyal wives to their husbands. Sarah, for instance, taking care of Abraham, would address him as "my dear husband." You'll be true daughters of Sarah if you do the same, unanxious and unintimidated.

1 Peter 3:7
The same goes for you husbands: Be good husbands to your wives. Honor them, delight in them. As women they lack some of your advantages. But in the new life of God's grace, you're equals. Treat your wives, then, as equals so your prayers don't run aground.
1 Peter 3:6-8 (in Context) 1 Peter 3 (Whole Chapter)
Women are blessed of God and equal to men.

We don't live under the Old Testament law, we live under New Testament grace. Women have the same "rights" as men do in the spirit.

The bible don't give rights.
Even in the laws and quotes above, you notice at no point does it say "She has a right ot.." or even "He has a right to...", but "He must pay..", "They must marry..", must, shall , becomes, no rights involved!
