Is it right for a woman to cover her head when she prays, or go to a place of worship, or is it more of the older generation who follows this, and if so then why is it not neccesary for a man to do the same?

By all means, everyone should have to. And if you should have the audacity to enter a place of worship during your menses, you should be stoned in the street.
C'mon people. God LOVES us. He didn't create us to live our lives worrying about a bunch of stupid rules that don't matter, and he wouldn't punish us or love us any less for wearing or not wearing a friggin hat.
Pray. Be a good person. Get closer to God by learning as much as you can. The rest doesn't matter.
Wasn't that the whole purpose of the new testament? That God said he was displeased with our traditions that had no meaning? Our sacrifices that meant nothing in our hearts?

Fallen hair is always a problem. Specially if it is long - easily noticeable and can get entangled anywhere, thus the problem.
Women in general have long hair. To see that even if it falls it does not create any problem one is asked to cover the head. Men have short hair even if it falls is not noticeable and does not get entangled anywhere, though, in some communities even men are supposed to cover their head .
God has nothing against your hair, if he had, all human beings would have been bald.

I know about Muslim women. They should cover their head so that not a single hair can be seen. Everyone, old or young must follow the same rules of prayer.

i trust that's in part because a lady's captivating hair will be tempting to adult males and distract them from worship. besides the indisputable fact that it is also an illustration of submission to male domination. i'm compared. i trust sexual choose is sacred, and should be venerated for the period of worship. I trust women human beings are equivalent to adult males.
