It's the Bible. It presents God as jealous, angry, vengeful, punishing, uncaring .... should I go on?
I'm not against God. I am a believer, and am in awe of Him. But the Bible isn't the best advertisement for God.

Because after everything he supposedly did, he doesn't even have the decency to exist!!!
Mmkay seriously .... I won't address why I'm against God, because I can't honestly be againt something I have zero belief in, but I'll let you in on a secret ... religion has been responsible for more murders, suffering and tortures than for any other reason. More wars are started in the name of religion than for any other reason. Religion restricts thought, discovery and intelligent, rational conclusions, punishing doubt in the process. It enslaves people through scare tactics and fear.
Aside from all that, the religion of one section is constantly being used as a construct for society as a whole. Why do I, and other non christians, have to live in a society where laws are impacted and influenced by one sections religion? Why does the whole suffer for the few?
I have every reason under the sun, based on the above, to hate religion.

Man is physical and visible. God is spiritual and invisible. Man cannot perceive God physically but spiritually. The way to perceive and to know God is through the knowledge of Jesus Christ Who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. When we know Jesus the Holy Spirit comes and lives inside of us and makes us alive to God. So unless we FIRST know Jesus we cannot perceive and know God. So the problem has always been that those who do not know God want to know first before they believe whereas the true position in Christianity is that they must believe first before they know. So people can be angry or dismissive of God because they do not really know the Way to God or do not accept the Way that God have laid down to know Him or God ought to reveal Himself to them on their own terms. Misconceptions, misunderstandings and misdirections of the Way of God are the causes of all the tensions and heat generated in this forum..

Over 100 million people have been killed because the God based religion can't agree on God and He never comes down with help. Are we supposed to wait until it reaches 200 million? Terrorists who are trying to get the "Islamic Bomb" say, 'Convert or die'. Should God intervene? Don't hold your breath waiting. The religions are now taking in $3 billion a year in donations, it's a business in disguise.

nicely, I recommend you ask G-D your self for the first question. As to the 2d question, there are extra urgent concerns and causes in the back of basically having ten important commandments. And no, G-D did not get drained or basically "supply up" after HE wrote the ten commandments, that's why there are literally over 600 regulations in the course of the former testomony. And finally, the former testomony holds the answer to homosexuality(a foul element and antagonistic to G-D's regulations) for you. and definite, it is also interior the hot testomony too. i must apologies although, i will't save in options off the right of my head which books, chapters and verses those are. AND beforehand I ignore: the Messiah not basically reported to "love each guy as your brother", He also reported to "love the sinner, yet hate the sin". In different words, be your human beings chum, AND pray for him to end sinning.

It's not God, it's the lunatics who try to follow God around and pretend to speak for "him". The attitude that says "other religions" don't help and aren't "real" puts you squarely in that camp. Care Bears started as an advertising gimmick, and angels and rainbows got co-opted. There's very little of "God" in them any more.

LOL...are you really as young and naive as your question sounds? I have nothing against your right to worship whatever mythical creature you wish. Ones religion should be a personal thing. What I am against is your perceived right to try to impose your personal beliefs on everyone around you using the excuse that you are trying to 'save' me. I do not need or want your kind of saving.

these people aren't exactly against god they just don't believe in a god . so if there is no god there isn't anything there to be for or against . perhaps they sometimes get frustrated towards those who claim to believe in a fantasy as if it were real this is dismaying but has little to do with a deity just those who fabricate it's false existence...don't lies ever bother you even if the those who tend to fool themselves don't realize it or don't do it in malice ?
no closure here peaceout

I dont' know anyone who's against God. I know lots of people who don't like his fan club very much--but that's most certainly NOT the same thing.

"This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
