I don't believe in religion but do believe in God. I was in gifted classes throughout school and given an IQ test every year. The highest I ever scored was 171.

I'm an atheist and my IQ is 144.

I don't think one's IQ has anything to do with one's religious beliefs though. I've seen highly intelligent individuals come to completely different conclusions on religion.

It's interesting how everyone here claims to have an extremely high IQ. I wonder if it's only the people with the highest IQ scores who want to answer this or if some people changed their score in order to let their religious group look smart. In any case, I don't think questions like this give a good picture of the intelligence of religious groups, simply because some people will lie about their score and the ones with low IQ scores will not answer, plus there are so many different IQ tests out there that give different scores.

My religious orientation is probably unique - I believe that the natural universe is what others call "God", and does not have (or need) supernatural powers. My IQ has been measured at somewhere between 129 and 153 depending on conditions, time of day, how much sleep I didn't get the night before, etc. In order to continue believing in some form of "God" I changed my own personal definition of what "God" means. This way when I say that "God" exists, no one can deny that the natural universe exists and still appear sane.

I assume I'll find out the truth when I'm dead. Until then, I prefer to laugh at those who claim ultimate knowledge (on either side) over a subject that is based on faith and speculation, not fact.

Somewhere around 150, although I'm not certain. I think that most of the others posting on here have mothers who loved them so much, they couldn't help but lie to their children about their IQ.

On a side note, I recently saw a brief snippet discussing, interestingly enough, that their is a direct correlation between religous faith and education. Generally, the less education one has, the less likely they are to be religous. Don't know if this helps you or not. (sorry, can't remember source, although I think it might have been some news channel)

Making blanket statements about any persdon or crew is in problem-free words a mirrored image of the guy or crew making the assertion.

This comparison cannot work. The only way to get a true comparison of IQ and religious affiliation is if all people were to take the same test. As it is, people are telling the scores of tons of different tests.

All the tests aren't calibrated to be equal.

Anyway, the test I took gave me a 168, and I'm atheist. How that would translate on different tests, we don't know.

This question can't give any reliable answer...

I'm not even gonna tell you what my I.Q. is. However, I will ask this : do any of you know what the hell your talking about ? Or is is that your just lying ? The I.Q. scores being given on this question are in the upper 1% ! Any score in excess of 140 is hard to believe ! I've read some of your questions, answers and profiles. It doesn't seem like what you write matches up with the I.Q. scores you have given. Get a clue.

My own belief system....similar to Buddhism and Taoism.......IQ 151.

IQ is not a very good indicator of wisdom. I was a member of MENSA years ago and got into a very heated argument about eugenics and euthanasia. I don't care WHAT your IQ is, if you believe that anyone should be euthanized because they don't meet some standard of acceptability you're an idiot.
