If you found a message that works for you, shouldn't that be good enough. A lot (but not all) religious people seem to have a dire need to spread their word and persuade others to join them. Why can't those people be content with having something that works for them without all the heavy judgements others who disagree. Please no Bible passages...tell me in your words.

i say do what you feel, but i personally believe in 1 savior and that is Jesus Christ. If people want to believe in other things that is all them. I would just urge everyone Christians, Muslims, Jewish, no matter who you are....examine not only your religion but all the others. Dont just believe in something because your parents did or because it's all you've been exposed to and seems right. Make sure it is something worth putting your faith in, because religion in the end is eternal.

To begin with, sharing the message of Christianity is a commandment from God, you asked for no Bible passages, so I won't quote it to you, but the suffice to say that anyone who claims to be a follower of Jesus Christ MUST share his/her faith. Being told that I am not allowed to share my faith with others is a direct restriction on my right to freedom of religion.

Second, as a Christian, (I cannot speak for other religions) I am taught that following Jesus Christ isn't just ONE way to Heaven, it's the ONLY way. So put yourself in my shoes for a second and think about it; if I know the only way to Heaven and I DON'T tell you about it, wouldn't you think that was awful of me?

In fact, I won't quote it, but the Bible says you hate your brother if you do not share the gospel with him.

Look at this way, if the Unitarian (all paths lead to Heaven) is right, then as a Christian I am going to Heaven. But what happens if Christianity is the only path? Well, I still get to go to Heaven, but everybody else doesn't. I get to Heaven either way, but do you?

If you read the Bible you'll find that those who believe in Jesus Christ are obligated to spread the word. Yes, I agree some may try too hard to force something that can't be forced. Christians are only obligated to let others know about Jesus, the Holy Spirit within them will do the rest.

Judaism has no such drive.

from my understanding christians have this as they inteperet something in their bible as saying they should.

in a way it does make sense, and I'm sure is quite well intentioned. I mean if I really thought the unbelivers would be tormented for eternity if they didn't change.. well I'd want to help them too.

I can't see why people would think that way though. seems a very scary way of going through life.

in case you favor to leave Judaism or settle for yet another faith, you aren't to any extent further a jew. more desirable properly you're an apostate jew. you aren't to any extent further counted as part of the community & can no take section as part of the community, & you'll not be referred to as a jew. although, out of appreciate in case you opt to opposite & come again into Judaism, it is conceivable. it really is an identical as with the few Jews who grow to be messianics. although, rather a lot each of the messanics a minimum of ninety 9% were under no circumstances Jewish so it would not note to them. same as a Buddhist, isn't a Jew. The Jewish human beings i understand who tried Buddhism & got here back to Judaism, describe it as a separate faith (& referred to the inability of God or muliple God-like innovations being the concern element for them) So, i'm basing my buddhist inclusion in my answer on those conversations.

I'm religious but I think that everyone's religion should be a personal choice. I wouldn't dream of trying to convert people. It's not my place.

I believe it is a natural urge that makes you want people to see the truth the way you see it and enjoy it the way you do. However, everyone is free; no one forces anyone. Also respect is a must no matter what people believe in.

Peace

My dad does this a lot. He likes to be responsible for converting someone into catholism. It's an honor. He likes to be respected. So he talked to his barber and now she's baptised into the Catholic religion. And Dad feels proud of himself. It's about pride and accomplishment. I'm an atheist, and I like to annoy the heck out of everyone until they pretend to agree just to shut me up, ;).
