He didn't. People did.

Any time you see (or use) the words "God" and "would" in the same sentence, the discussion has taken an unfortunate turn. God, the Almighty, everlasting Lord of All, isn't subject to should/would/could considerations. He simply is, and He does. No human mind can even begin to fathom His ways and purposes, beyond what He chooses to reveal to us.
Since religions can't all be true, most have varying degrees of error, but we can see which ones come closest to God's truth by observing what kind of "fruit" they bear. As a starting point, we can deduce from our own perceptions and our physical universe that God is loving and merciful. Therefore, "religions" that thrive on oppression and slaughter, like Islam, are clearly farthest from God's truth. Christianity, which is founded on the love and compassion of God Himself, is the closest. Since these things are of God, and they demonstrate our obedience to Him and a TRULY worshipful spirit, they are therefore pleasing to Him.

I believe no matter what religion as long as you follow our served purpose to do right by all thing living and non living that god created for us to enjoy. Also, most important praise and thank him for every blessing that you receive then religion titles does not matter. We were all created in a image of god and he didn't put us here because of religion. We started off with rules and manners just like any parents these days teach there children. As long as you live your life according to him at the end of the day that's all that matters.

Hello,
Believing in God does not require a particular religion so to speak.
I am a believer in Christ and a follwer of Jesus Christ. When people ask me what religion I am, I say I am Non-Denominational; neither Catholic or Protestent or Methodist.
True, I fall under the Christian name, but God does not expect anyone who follows Him to be a "Christian".
All He is looking for is someone to receive him as their Lord and Savior. To follow Him and lead others to follow Him as well.
This is what I have always been told.
Jesus said, "I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, NO MAN COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME." John 14:6 King James Version
Hope this helps you.................. : - O

I believe christianity is the only one and true belief according to God's word and religions are man-made. People of all religions claim to be christians but unless we are doing God's will and following Jesus's ways, we are not christians. I don't think I've ever seen in the bible where it says Jesus was of a certain religion.

Religion is a $3 billion dollar a year tax free business that sells a belief that they don't have to prove. They all claim to be God's favorite. What do you expect?

One God
[21:21] Have they found gods on earth who can create?
[21:22] If there were in them (the heavens and the earth) other gods beside GOD, there would have been chaos. Glory be to GOD; the Lord with absolute authority. He is high above their claims.
Never Question God's Wisdom
[21:23] He is never to be asked about anything He does, while all others are questioned.
[21:24] Have they found other gods beside Him? Say, "Show me your proof. This is the message to my generation, consummating all previous messages." Indeed, most of them do not recognize the truth; this is why they are so hostile.
One God/One Message/One Religion
[21:25] We did not send any messenger before you except with the inspiration: "There is no god except Me; you shall worship Me alone."
[21:26] Yet, they said, "The Most Gracious has begotten a son!" Glory be to Him. All (messengers) are (His) honored servants.
[21:27] They never speak on their own, and they strictly follow His commands.
The Myth of Intercession
[21:28] He knows their future and their past. They do not intercede, except for those already accepted by Him, and they are worried about their own necks.
[21:29] If any of them claims to be a god beside Him, we requite him with Hell; we thus requite the wicked.

Well, if you believe that there is one God in charge of everything, then there necessarily is one and only one true religion, right? How things happened, like the formation of the universe, would have only happened one way, and what is right and wrong, by His/Her/It's decree, wouldn't be subject to any other interpretation. At least, that's my take on it.

Man made religions to reach up to God, but God was already here.
Don't subscribe to religions. Have God develop a personal relationship with you. You don't need a religion to talk to him.

Jesus only said that the only way to the Father (YHVH) was thru him.
Not all religions or spiritual activity is or even should be focused on going to/ being with YHVH.
Muhammed said that the only true religions were the ones whose believers focused on some sort of book...which kind of leaves it wide open.
To Anthony S, your logic is incomplete, another viable conclusion is that religions are lying about their 'one and only truth' status, and all of them are true.
