I'm not trying to cause controversy..It just seems to me that if Mexicans want to be in america so badly why not make mexico a part of the country...if theor political leaders agreed to it of course.

it is a country of great history and native languages which are far more beautiful than english ever was. the people are also more family oriented and patient than american culture.

Mexico is a country. They need to improve some things, but ultimately they are a well established country. We can't just take other countries and make them part of the U.S. Those days are over. Besides, do you have any idea all the crap that would start if we even tried to do that? We're already in enough trouble for sticking our noses where they don't belong. Mexico doesn't want to become part of the U.S. anyway.

only a few mexicans who have a bad life in Mexico want to come to america. Most families are well off and do not even want to be associated with americans. Saying that "make mexico a state" is like saying the war in Iraq is just. We have no right to invade into other people's countries and lives. Just let them be. Who made borders n e way? God gave man this land and man made pieces out of the land! it's so frustrating when people claim to be of a certain piece of land when it's all just the earth OWNED & OPERATED by the one and only CREATOR. I know this is narrow minded but to each person their own opinion. :)

Mexico is their own country and they wouldnt want ot become a state of the united states. Makes no sense why they would. I am against, i dont want ot sound racist but i live in texas where there are a lot of illegal immigrants from mexico here and it irks me bc they are getting all this free stuff from us and taking our jobs and not paying taxes. Half of them drive around in cars without insurance and one of them hit me and i got screwed bc the person didnt have their license and two no insurance.

Mexico wouldnt want ot become a state in the U.S. bc that means there laws would change and all the policies they are used to would be different. It would never happen,.

I think we (the USA) have bigger things to deal with than making Mexico a state (which the country of Mexico probably wouldn't agree to anyway).

We have Samoa, the Virgin Islands, Guam, and Puerto Rico that would be in line first anyway.

peurto rico wanted to become a state, i believe they are still a territory. these places are poor and would bring us down if we took them into the union. they would get federal funding for schools and everything else costing more than they could immediatly contribute. I don't really believe in borders and don't really care but i don't see anything to gain by taking mexico.

First of all... Mexico isn't a state... it's a country. And you'd have to make all of the providences/states in Mexico states in order to let be allowed into the USA.

By that logic, we should make Canada a state, too.

I would not mind, but the Mexicans probably would -- at least those who aren't trying to climb the fence and would prefer to maintain their favored spot in the status quo.

Why do they want to be a state, if they can be a country which is better.

It's a different freaking country. Are we going to invade them too? If you couldn't tell, I am against it.
