If you cat is given milk, that can cause it. Some do not agree with milk, and some can grow into that reaction.

I would look at your food. Cats have a very delicate digestive system...most are allergic to things like soy and wheat and these are 2 ingredients commonly found in most pet foods. Some cats can even be allergic to corn or the type of meat source used in the food (especially by-products).
I recommend switching to a higher quality food. Blue Buffalo, Innova, and Nutro ULTRA are all great high-quality foods which you should be able to find at your local Petsmart or Petco. If you don't have access or don't want to buy the aforementioned brands---start reading your pet food labels and avoid corn, by-products, soy, and wheat.
Contrary to popular opinion, hairball formulas do not aid a cat in throwing up--cats should NOT be throwing up hairballs. Hairball formulas generally include an ingredient called "Psyllium". It is a soluable fiber that aids in the digestive process--it helps food (and fur, in this case) move through the digestive tract by absorbing water, which then makes the food (and fur) in the stomach pass through the body easier.

No this is completely fantastic. My 3 365 days previous cat Mocha hasn't ever coughed up a hairball and really threw up a million time,yet my different cat Missy rather a lot universal with the hairballs. i imagine some cats only have a a lot less stressful time digesting their hair than particular cats.

Okay my cat is the pro with hairballs lol...
1. my vet said if he's just throwing up food hes eating too fast so higher his food bowl... but just the right height where he can still eat... i put a phone book under his bowl... he stopped vomiting.
2. the hairball remedies is to HELP cough up hairballs and not prevent... u cant stop hairballs.

hairball formula cant stop the fur that gets in the cats system when the clean themselves so that may be the problem. my cats are on hairball formula and has greatly reduced how much they throw up but once in a while they do. another thing that works for hairballs is vaseline on their nose or paws so they lick it off and it grabs the hair in their system and they poop it out..

Our cat was always that way also. We finally didn't like it anymore and asked the vet about the situation. He gave us some very inexpensive liquid medicine that we mix in some canned cat food once a day. It helps the cat's stomach to digest the hair better and has really worked for our cat. Good luck!

Hairball formula has a chemical that causes them to vomit.
If they are not suffering from hairballs, STOP feeding them hairball formula cat food and switch to regular.

I have a cat who does this. The reason for him is because he can not digest the canned food. He can only have dry food. When I'm feeding the others, I always put the juice from the cans onto a plate for him, and he licks the juice. I feel bad he can not eat what the others eat, but it's better for him this way.

If it is the hairballs causing her to throw up, buy a brush and groom her. It will reduce the amount of hair she injests.

It's completly normal. Stop giving her the formula-the extra chemicals can't possibly do her any good...My family's cat eats grass to make herself do that. Its a way that they cleanse their system.
