Hydroquinone reduces pigmentation, but it requires a Rx. Also, to maintain it, you have to use sunblock to keep your pigment from getting dark again. A good block should have a barrier like zinc oxide, or apply a makeup coverup with a high SPFas a physical barrier to block out sun damaging UV.

Apply a mixture of grated tomato with 2-3 drops of lime juice on the face. Leave it for 20 minutes before washing off. Do this twice a day for 15-20 days for best results.

It depends on your natural skin colour. If you were born to be dark, than be dark! Even if you use bleach cream, whitening cream or lotion, you won't be white!! It depends on your natural skin colour! You can't change your natural skin colour. The only thing that makes bleaching and whitening cream/lotion works is because as people grow older, their skin become darker. When they bleach/whiten them, their skin turn into their natural skin colour which is lighter! Just like when they were born (but lighter, I think)! If that's your problem, try this one! It's POWERFUL!!

It is made out of natural ingredients. Unlike other bleaching lotions, brightening effect is natural-looking - like a child's supple skin with a rosy tint, and not pasty or artificial-looking.
If you were born to be dark, no can do!! Just take your pic when you were a baby from your old photo album & compare. If your skin is darker than when you were a baby, try the product above!! If no, you can just try the product too. It might work!! Who knows? It's worth a try!!
But MOST people in this world LOVE darker skin! Just a thought...
GOOD LUCK!!

Benefit has a skin lightener. It's a bit expensive but I have a light birthmark that I use it on and it goes away. You have to continue to use it though. But if you're trying to lighten your complexion you'd have to use something all the time anyway. You could always invest in some pancake/theatrical make up

Try Neutrogena whitening mask, works way better than most over-priced brands.
For a homemade mask, try mixing strawberries, milk and flour in a food processor until paste like.
Not only does it smells absolutely yummy, it's cheap and it brightens my skin almost immediately.
Steer clear of tomato juice, lemon juice if you have sensitive skin. It gave my rashes when I tried it.
