Dee: In general, most cultures have a Supreme being in their belief system. The issue therefore, is not one of humans being cognizant of a God but humans coming to see themselves as GOD sees them. God already knows what we all are like but it does us no good if we don't know this. If we don't know why we need to have a RELATIONSHIP with our Creator - our Designer, why have one anyways? Why we humans need a relationship with Jesus Christ IS the million dollar question !!! We require a relationship with our Maker because we are sinners [unholy] and were made initially that way ! Once the "coin" drops and we come to see our true colours in the raw light of reality, we therefore, need to become right with God [Jesus] . There would simply, be no use whatsoever, even, wanting to know about God if you see no reason to !!! There is plenty of proof of God's existence out there ... but why would you want it for ... in the first place ? What are you going to do with it when you find it, anyways ? !!! As far as, those who "KNOW" the earth was flat, in the Bible, book of Isaiah states that, "God sits on the CIRCLE of the earth" ... does this sound like a flat earth, in relativity to Zeus, Athena ? I'm not trying to be a smart as* , but this [Isaiah] was written thousands of years ago ... long before the Flat Earth Society or Science discovered the telescope !!! The onus is on people to willing want to come to God through Jesus ... that is why God hasn't wiped us all out ... it would be "self" defeating !!!
