Exercise increases Endorphins. Exercise increses the amount of BDNF a factor that helps create more neuronal pathways in your brain. There are so many benefits......

A fool proof method for getting rid of depression:
God, Exercise (high intensity for at least 30 min such as running), Healthy Diet, Nature (water like the ocean absorbs negativity), Keeping yourself busy, Good Books, Prayer, and Changing you thinking habits (FOCUS ON GOOD/HAPPINESS) you have a Choice!
Take care!

Hi, yes exercise definitely helps but the depression can alter your physical fitness though. You might need a low dose of meds just to balance your chemicals, and then exercise for the rest of it. Other things which help me personally are doing something I can feel proud of myself for every day and spending time visiting farms as I love animals. Walks are good too.

I was recently diagnosed with depression and m on meds at the moment but the doc reckons that daily exercise can b one of the best things 4 it. also if u have nething else that u r worried about or stressed about u should really talk to some1 or try to decrease ur stress levels. yoga and meditation r good 4 stress. any way good luck and chin up.

Those natural opiates you release by running, endorphins, seemed to be enough to negate the need for anti depressants. If you can naturally elevate your spirits I think your better off than altering brain chemistry with pharmaceuticals.

Yes, yes, yes! Exercise can REALLY make a difference against depression. It's a great way to release tension, zone out and it produces endorphins that will make you feel happy.
