Itchy basically stays the same throughout all three films. His role as Charlie best friend and sidekick never changes. In all three films, he sticks like glue to Charlie's side in all events, but sometimes Charlie's wild schemes are sure to lead them into trouble and Itchy tries to talk his buddy out of it but he's almost always ignored. Though he loses his patience with Charlie, he never forsakes him.

I just saw a new All Dogs go to Heaven movie and I'm really good at telling what kind of dog different dogs are, I would have to say Itchy is a Basset Hound/Beagle/Dachshund mix. He's got the body of a Dachshund, the coloring of the beagle and the ears of a Basset Hound. Hope that helps. :)

While I'm tempted to go with the majority of the people on this and say he was a dachshund, I seem to remember at one point in the movie he was scratching and his ear got caught around his foot, and that makes me think that maybe he's more Basset Hound than dachshund.

Having not seen the movie in a while, the image I could find made him look like a dachsund or dachsund mix.

I did a bit of research, and it would seem he is a Dachshund, though he seems kinda big to be one huh? ^^;
