I have a Bald eagle that gets within 25 feet above me when I go outside to get the mail this past week. Its like he is watching me and trying to tell me something. I've also been seeing them along side the road while driving. Last week while driving my car I had a Bald Eagle dive down touch the ground within 15 feet of me and then jump back up in perfect timing of the same time I was going the opposite direction past him. While at the beach the other day I had one circling over head. Before this year Bald Eagles where rare around this area in Iowa.

Growing spiritual nature? I have been getting back the spiritual nature to go skinny dipping. This is after a long hard summer and fall doing chemo and radiation fighting my lung cancer. I was suppose to be dead about now. But they say its still in remission and I'm feeling much better thankyou.

Do you work at a fish market? Just kidding. Animals have very complex behaviors and there may not be a simple answer to this question from a behaviorist point of view. However, from a spiritual perspective the bald eagle has always represented great power among the indigenous peoples of North America. Whether or not your beliefs support such things are up to you, but could this be a sign of a growing spiritual nature in yourself? Have you embarked upon a new path?

There might be a much more practical and scientific explanation for Bald Eagles showing up in your area, but why embrace the mundane when the magical presents itself to us?

If you're walking a dog or there are any other animals nearby, squirrels, cats, birds, he may be looking for lunch. Seriously, an 8 year old boy fought off a hawk that went after his puppy last week in our town. Eagles can be dangerous, don't let him get to close, admire from a safe distance.

It means you're very lucky to be that close to this magnificent animal. Take a camera with you next time and then post the pictures where we can see him too!

Wherever you live, I envy you -- the beach and eagles -- how much luckier can one person get?

If you live in a rural area it might be after mice/rabbits that you scare. If you watch a combine you will often see hawks and buzzards following to catch the mice that run away from it.
