but men were made weak, and became sinful pretty much right off the bat, then doesnt that mean, that jesus died for nothing, why would god, who supposedly made jesus, and told him to die for mans sins, also make man sinful, in turn making jesus's supposed efforts meaningless? Why do you have repent or follow the rules of the bible when Jesus supposedly took care of all that for all mankind?

Ok so seems like a few of you are saying that we have a choice to be good people or be bad people...If I lived my whole life not believing in god, but was a really good person, I would go to hell for not believing in god. But If I am, say a child molesting priest and just said 'ooops sorry, god please forgive me' then thats cool...thats what jesus' work was for...how about not starting wars, blowing up clinics, and judging people (something that is a no no in the bible) based on thier beliefs, and race (christians arnt very big fans of jewish people, the supposed killers of jesus)...shouldnt that fall under the whole love thy neighbor deal?

one, God gave man the gift of choice. Two, Jesus did die for our sins, that doesn't mean choosing to sin and then saying sorry, then sining the same sin the next day counts. Put it this way... if you really loved someone, and you wanted to know if they truely loved you back... would you A. put a gun to their head and make them say they love you, or B. wait to see if it true? the choice is always yours.

Like many I think you are missing the point of Christianity. Men were not "made" weak. God allowed men to have free will. Free will was used to sin and because of the fall of Adam sin had a fertile place to grow and mature. Jesus on the contrary died for everything. He died to save our souls from the condemnation of sin. He died so that animal sacrifices would not have to be made anymore to mask the sin. God begot Jesus. He did not make him. He also allowed Jesus free will because of course he was a man as well. It was his decision to accept this mission. Repentance doe not determine whether or not you go to Heaven. Try to imagine a candle in a dark room. The candle is God and the dark room in this world. The closer of a relationship you have with him the brighter that candle is and the more warmth you feel. Repentance brings you closer to God and in turn makes your relationship with God a more meaningful one. So many people have such a hard time understanding this. If you truly believe in what Christ did and want to walk in love following his example repentance is just a place along the path. Nothing you could ever do or say would change God's love for you not even this question and I really do hope that what I said has helped.

Because of the mistakes of guys jesus died for our sins, he actually died since people sinning.. In go back Jesus offers everybody a risk.. if you happen to do some thing 'sinful' you could have the risk to hope to god and express regret, however by way of inquiring for forgiveness you're telling God that you're sorry and in view that you could have repented you must now not do it once more... However that's now not constantly the case.. For illustration a few humans do not think in God in any respect, how might you consider if you happen to gave a complete international lifestyles and the one factor that you just requested from the humans whom you had in my opinion created was once that they compliment you and take a look at to are living such as you, and in go back they nearly slap you within the face and continually move towards your phrase... God created each and every and everybody people and the least we will do is have somewhat religion.. The guy who has no religion in his author will definitely in keeping with the bible.. and why cannot he? If it were not for God the whole thing that's would not be, I believe he merits somewhat recognize.

According to Bible, the very first human weren't made weak. They were as pure as Mary, mother of Jesus, was. But, choosing between good and evil is part of freedom package. They choosed to dissobey and we have the weigh of that sin. However, we keep freedom. If you didn't have this choice today, even after he died, could you say you are free?
The most of sins are made because of weakness: fear, hurt, loneliness, lack of mature... It's not too frequent to be bad just because. Because Jesus death applied for all mankind of all times, weakness is something that can be fixed. Think that this Redemption is eternal. Eternal correct meaning is "out of time". That means that if you sin and then sincerely try to correct this bad attitude you have another chance as long as you keep alive.
There is so much people who had a libertine life and changed. I take as an example San Agustin: his life was plenty of sins and he was born after Jesus died. Indeed he had a mother who tried to teach him Cristian principles but he left it. After she prayed for him more than a decade he returned to it. And he became a great philosopher, teologist, writer, and is recognized as one of the Catholic Church Doctor.
The last and most important: Jesus death was a love action. Love is a freedom act where hope plays a golden role. When you do something because of love, you open the choice to the person you love to respond ... or not. You don't obligate, you wait, and hope...

Jesus(Michael) is the only begotten Son of God, since before the creation, Ps 2:7; Rev 3:14.
God did not make us sinful, He made us perfect in every way, it was satan that deceived Eve into doubting God, and it was satan that deceived 1/3 rd of the angelic hosts of heaven into rebellion against God, Why did Lucifer do this? He was jealous of Michael. Jesus died for those sins that we confess and repent from. He did not do away with the Law of God, but He magnified it. You need to do some serious studying.

I have noticed the comments of all non-believers on this web site and one thing is consistent in the way God is described. There is always one important fact that is always left out. GOD LOVES US. Jesus death on the cross was an act of supreme LOVE. It was not meaningless because millions have experienced His love as a result of this. There is so much more to being a believer than "having to repent and follow rules" It means knowing the one true LOVE in the universe. I sincerely wish this for all non-believers.

Mankind was given the Law to show us we needed something better then the law. It revealed how sinful we are but the law does not make us sin. Just as traffic laws now do not make us violate them, but it shows we did break the law when we do.
Jesus died to pay for the sin we did and will commit. We are told that the penalty for our violating the law, our sin is death or eternal separation from God. None of us could ever pay for our own sin at that price. That is why Jesus payed a debt HE did not owe so we could pay a debt we could not pay. He paid it for you.
I do agree that far too often, the price Jesus paid is wasted because far too many will not accept it. The price He paid upon a cross is only valid when it is accepted....read the link below to see how

God did not make man sinful, man, by the influence of evil made and makes man sinful due to his freewill. Jesus did not just "take care all of the sins", making everyone who has sinned, sinless. Jesus is the sacrificial lamb in the sense that, instead of it being required that we do things which are so difficult for us to do as to make ourselves "clean" in the Eyes of God, we go to Him(Christ Jesus), and through Him we go to the Father.
If you are a believer in Christ, if you follow His way of life and His teachings, your sins are forgiven without need of repenting. Because Jesus does understand us, He lived among our kind on Earth as to give us a Link to the Father, or Salvation, and another reason for Him coming down to Earth is so that He can associate with us.
I hope that helps?

Okay, think about what Jesus did this way::
Let's say you recieve a present for your birthday. It's this nice little box, all wrapped up in pretty paper and ribbon and bows, and it has your name on the top. You pick it up, look it over, then decide not to open it. You just walk away, and put the gift in the garbage bin later.
Now, assimilate Jesus's death for your sins to the birthday present. Jesus died for your sins, He is willing to give you the gift of life, but you haven't accepted it yet. If you don't ever "open" Jesus's gift, you never really accept it. Just because someone bought you the present or Jesus paid for your sins doesn't automatically make you accept the gift; you still have to open it yourself in order to recieve it.
That is why we must recognize our sins and repent.
