It would likely be poly-synthetic, as it most likely has been influenced by European languages through conquest and hegemony; Romance languages are agglutinating, Germanic languages are more isolating. Fusional languages are an offshoot of the highly isolating Sino-Tibetan languages, so they probably didn't have any influence.
