You should go into every new relationship with a let's see attitude. You don't really know him, you have an idea of him by his writings. Take it slow...most long distance relationships that are just starting don't fare well. RELAX, ENJOY!

Ummm....excuse me, but I would say that you are headed for another emotional train wreck on the railroad of love, dear.

There is no greater risk of heartbreak than meeting someone on the net for the following reasons:
1) There is no way to verify anything anyone says or represents on the Internet, in IM, or in an email.
2) Because there is complete anonymity, you have no way of knowing who you are "talking" to - even on the phone.
3) The Internet is a mine field of losers, second-rate hucksters and downright perverts.
4) You and your b/f have no common friends and know nothing about each other's history or family culture.

I know, I know...you hear about some good things happening from time to time with meetings from Internet relationships, but, boy, is it ever risky. And, you, coming off of a very negative relationship recently?

I wish you well, but be prepared for the worst. I'd hate to see you get crushed again.

Wait a minute--stop and get the whole picture here....he says all this stuff on a site line? Can't tell me that you really think this guy is on the level--be honest. Why not a human contact in your own hometown? Certainly you can get up and go outside and talk to real people......go get a job or a hobby and make real contact--tell this guy you are too busy to talk anymore. What a scam don't you see it? How could you possibly believe that he wants to marry a girl he never met or saw? That would be a big disappointment and this is all a waste of time. Merry xmas
