This is a very good question and the answer to it is simple, in my opinion. The only man in MMA world today who can compete with Fedor and has the chance of beating him in a match is Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic, PRIDE Open Weight GP champion. I believe that any real and knowledgeable MMA fan would tell you the same thing. He did loose a decision in their first contest, but Mirko is the only man that ever gave Fedor a real fight and had there not been for that infamous stamina problem it could have easily gone the other way. Fedor would still be considered a favorite if they were to have a rematch, but Mirko has really come a long way this past year and he is now at his very best. He has regained that K-1 sharpness again and his striking is at this moment as deadly as it has ever been (which he has so clearly shown in that Wanderlei Silva and Josh Barnett annihilation at the GP) and the improvements in his ground game are literally beyond belief. So if the rematch between them does take place it would, in my opinion, be way too close to call but man, what a fight and what an incredible day for this sport and MMA fans all around the world it would definitely turn out to be.

In the end, I just have to refer to a statement I read in one of previous answers, I hope you wont mind. One person here seems to think that only real competition for Fedor at this time is in the UFC. If this is a joke it's really lame and if he was being serious, then this is without question the stupidest thing I ever heard. UFC heavyweight division is absolute trash filled with third grade, mediocre fighters in comparison to PRIDE. Their champion Tim Sylvia or anyone else that Dana White would have to offer could probably serve as perhaps a decent sparring partner for Fedor, but to take him on in a match?!! Come on...

The loss on fedor's list fairly isn't a loss, more desirable of a no contest. in case you fairly had seen it you'll do not ignore that it became an eliminating tournament. Fedor became struck by using an unlawful elbow to the right which made a wound large adequate for the ref to assert he won't be able to proceed. using compare type of the wrestle someone had to win and someone had to lose. they gave the win to the different guy and a loss to Fedor. It wasn't a loss in any respect, the guy cheated. although, fedor IS stoppable. he's the finest heavyweight in the international on the instantaneous and at the same time as he loses that human being would ought to educate with consistancy after he beats fedor that he's more desirable ideal than fedor. If Fedor loses his identify, he receives it back if he remains in delight / ufc.

He previously lost to Tsuyoshi Kohsaka during the first 17 seconds of Round One due to a cut (TKO) during Rings-King of Kings 2000 Block B. That is the only fight I know of. Right now, I don't see anyone beating him.

honestly, in his weight class the only real competition he would get are in the ufc...as cool as that would be, it probably wont happen anytime soon. even then he would dominate, in my opinion. he is EXTREMELY powerful and EXTREMELY well rounded. i dont see him losing anytime soon, but it is mma and everybody has a chance at getting in a good strike or sneaking in a sub.
p.s. he is my favorite figter at the moment, so my opinion my be biased...............................................................................................................response to a later post i do stand corrected...cro cop is probabl fedor's best competition, kinda had a brain fart on that and forgot about mirko.......fedor is still my favorite though

Put it simply. Fathertime will beat him someday just like any other great athletes. Right now, nobody could beat him.
