I spent my night watching cartoon and puppet-based Christmas specials. As is normal in December, I get into a nostaglic mood, and start to deseperately miss times of being a child. I miss the innocence, purity, and just overall happieness I once had as a child. This happens to me rather often throughout the year but is especially amplified during the Christmas season. I desperately wish I could relive many times in my life. These days lately, are just a combination of stress, work, and a non existant level of personal enjoyment. Any thoughts on this?

I feel the same way that your talking about alot. Not just during the christmas season either. And i really wish i could relive alot of my past memories as well.I have found that if you wait a year or so that you will look back on the current time that your at now and it will be another good memory that you wish you could relive. So do as I try to and live each moment to its fullist. It can be frustrating sometimes I know, but it does help.Another thing that does help remember good times from the past for me to is playing old songs from my childhood and also video games lol.And i love watching old movies that i remember as a child.I know its not as good as reliving "the good ole days" but it does help some for nostalgia.Anyways thats my thought on your question.

I do that every so often..I started collecting tweety birds about 2 years ..that was my favorite cartoon..I still watch it sometimes.. it never hurts to be a kid..and relieve all the stress of the adult things in your life even if only for 30 minutes a week

you can't go back to childhood. just accept that. That can give you a sense of security that there is no reason to be depressed. hang a few more lights. Last year I left 2 Christmas trees up all year. I plug them in to watch the lights. I have 8 function chaser lights. They are just neat.

i had a partner who would get palpably excited about chrissy cartoons weeks before they screened. She was down to earth and totally honest and gave christmas a sparkle i hav not seen since. She dressed in a santa suit whren it was our turn to welcome my family to our joint. They looked at her like she was a moron. Ever since I can take or leave chrissy with the family.....they just don't really get it.
