My friend bought me an mp4 and when I go to media player on my computer it says my mp4 's bytes are used up?

Can someone please tell me how to delete whatever is on my mp4 so that I can add my own music and dvd's?

mp4 is a file format, not a device or media, you will need to be a bit more clear about your problem.
