Think from your current BF to your first, how often do you find yourself not liking or hating the Mom, or perhaps the Dad or both?
Also..did that tension make the relationship go bad or sour the whole experience?
Did your old BF seem to always side with his Parents?

My mother in law is clinically insane, but since she cant help it and she's my husband's mother I can't hate her and am nice to her. I just kill her with kindness and don't take it out on my husband or father-in-law. It's certainly not their fault. I'm in control of my reactions and so are you. Just keep that in mind when dealing with difficult people.

well all m y boyfriends parents where really cool to me they always loved me and bought me stuff and actuly invite me out places all my exs parents love me idky i just get along with everyone elses parents but mine lol my current boyfriends parents are cool accept his mom is alil moody sometimes but other that shes actuly a great person!

my wife of 13 years hates my step mom but that has never hurt us
