Most people have the problem of proof, they doubt because they cannot see. But in truth, lets not just pick on the disbelievers here. Us christians doubt to, we all doubt the power of God at times. How can we blame the non-believers for what we ourselves also do? Don't get me wrong, I desire everyone to be in God, but what other people lack, we ourselves also often times lack. But back to the point, for me, it was always proof, that and faith. I mean you saw all these people walking around talking about God, but no one ever saw him. (That was a hard issue for me.) Secondly, it was always the fact that what you couldn't explain, you had to take on faith, I am a very logical person, so for me to just accept the fact that "God did it." Was to hard for me to do. In the end it was only by the grace of God that I was saved. A friend started showing me that evolution wasn't "logical" infact it was the oppistit of logic. So I started studying the bible, nothing serious at first, just mostly curiosity. But I guess curiosity killed my sin, because the deeper I got into the word of God, the more I realized I was a sinner, and that the person who gave me logic was none other than JESUS CHRIST MY LORD AND SAVIOR. So I bowed my knee, and gave my life to the most logical choice I could ever make. Logic is what held me back, God wasn't logical to me, and I think it is what stop alot of people from believing. If you can't see it, why believe it? But to be honest, you can see God, in everything we do. In our world, in everyway. In the people around you. In the children you see playing. Or the elder's you see dying. God is seen everywhere...all we have to do is look for him.
God bless, and merry Christmas

In older days it was easier to con people. Nowadays people want proof. The proof of god creating heaven and earth does not really exist. The proof of Adam and Eve is also suspect. We know how we evolved from single cell creatures, and we know how the Earth was formed. It wasn't as the bible states. Religious belief has torn this world apart over the centuries. People want to know what God was doing before the so called creation of Earth. Where did God come from? Why does he represent so many different religions. Islam, Jewish, Catholic, C of E. They all state they are the one true religion. In the main it is the poorer countries that have the largest numbers of believers because they are told only God will provide. Well where is this provision. And lastly Heaven. There is no such place. People are getting wise to fact that prayer does not actually put bread on the table, and it doesn't stop the starving and suffering that is rife on our planet.

What a totally bigoted person you are!!!! Only you and Christians can be right? No wonder so many people are leaving the church - they are all ashamed at your very un-Christian idiocy.
There is no proof, as you put it. Christianity is a faith. Therefore you are free to believe what you will but you only belittle yourself and Christianity by such crass remarks and offend all the other religions and non religious people of the world. Even Hitler did not succeed in that!!!
Your question has nothing to do with the loving and forgiving God of the bible who after all professed to love sinners better than Christians! Your question like all the hatred and bigottry from Christians here is from the humans who call themselves christian!
You seek to dictate to others - No doubt if your God exists you will have a lot of explaining to do on the day of judgement.

There are a lot of disbelievers of religion and what religious fanatics connect God with. It's the fact that most connect God to being behind death & vengence. My God is peaceful and a creator. It's not in the form of man and it's doesn't wear a white robe and have a beard. My God is a powerful energy that created the universe along with the planets and our planet was in the right place at the right time. My God has peace, love and understanding and has no place amongst religion where man fights man and forces their beliefs on others.

People disbelieve because either they dont get the chance to experience divinity or they are so much caught up in the tangles of life that they are not aware about their own experience.
There are either God Lovers, God Fearers or God Disbelievers... But every Disbeliever becomes a Fearer and every Fearer becomes a Lover... And then the wonder of wonder the lover becomes the beloved...
I never said one has to believe untill one has experienced..

People always need proof, and what up sets a lot of them over God is that no one can prove he does not exists, and that bothers them, but if you think of it another way, if everybody believed in God, and all believed the same, there would be no challenge, life would be boring, so there has to be non believers.
Love & Peace,

Because a lot of people on here are fairly intelligent and with decent educations. More than 90% of tests comparing education levels and intelligence with religion found an inverse correlation - that is people who are educated and intelligent are far less likely to be religious.
What proof is it you're talking about? There's never been a shred of evidence - otherwise everyone in the world would be the same religion.
Religion is a crutch for people who are emotionally and psychologically weak. A blanket for the stupid and ignorant to hide themselves in.

One cannot see the wind but one knows it is there . Was it by pure coincidence that our bodies were created that flowers grow that we have air to breathe and that the earth by rotation around the sun enables us to live. Look at what we have then say its all a coincidence. I hardly think so 3/4s of the world have a belief in a god of some kind. I believe in Jesus Christ son of God and saviour.Muslims also accept Jesus as a prophet so over half the world accepts Jesus lived Jews also accept he lived

I do not doubt or rebel but I do disbelieve. I have proof that a loving god does not exist. I have eyes and ears and a brain.

God has a plan for them also, maybe they serve the world better being in disbelief. They may not have a true grasp on how special existence is. These are the same people who think their beliefs and opinions actually matter when they don't. We need them though, objectivity is good science.
