A year has past and you have not repeated the same mistake. Stop being so hard on yourself you made a bad choice but you have learned from that mistake and now it is time to give up the guilt and move on with your life. When we have relationships with people just because they becomes exes it doens't mean that you stop caring about them. Emotions cannot be turned on and off like a tap. So, be kind to yourself and realize that you learned from this error in judgement and move on. Good luck.

Just don't do it again. It's understandable to feel ashamed and regretful about it since it's not really the right thing to do especially if both of you are in a relationship but avoiding to do it again would be the right thing.

I think you're entitled feeling ashamed and regretful. It is a sad woman that gives herself to someone who won't even commit to her...sorry that has to be you, but now you've learned! In the future, don't sleep with someone who doesn't respect you enough to date you, or care for you back. I know it sucks, but you will be a stronger person because of this!

I didn't understand your question, "What should I feel?" You have stated yourself that you feel ashamed and regretful. Now, do you want to feel differently? I honestly think you should not feel guilty. Very often we don't have control of our passions. Its useless regretting it later on. Better forget it. Take it as a very minor accident in your life and start to live normally.

There is no right way or wrong way to feel. You just feel whatever you feel.
I have a lot of regrets about similar things in my life. It is part of living and learning.
You can't go back in time and fix it so the most you can do is learn from it.

It's been a year, why are you still holding on to that guilt for? You need to forget about that and let it go. Stop torturing yourself for no reason and learn to forgive yourself.
