I want to design a tattoo that incorporates symbols of peace(dove, peace sign, etc). Any ideas of suggestions?

To the guy who said that the peace symbol is utilising a "broken cross", I'm sorry but you're mistaken...and a bit ignorant.
The CND symbol (the one that looks like a sparrows foot in a circle) is actually the semaphor letters for C N and D...sorry if it's not actually called semaphor but it's basically the way naval people spell out letters using their arms and flags!...it's nothing to do with any other 'subversive' group. The man who designed it, designed it that way as it was the first thing to come to mind as he had a naval background. CND means Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament by the way.
A dove sounds nice but think about your design for at least a few months and if you still like it then go for it! A tattoo though should come from your own heart and beliefs so design one yourself and discuss it with a tattoo artist, they'll help with the actual drawing!

I suggest you don't get confused and use the Mercedes Benz symbol. It use to give me the pox when people would get it confused.
I like the idea of a dove being incorporated into a peace sign.

Well, first I'd alert you that the peace sign is now being used a s a broken cross. This means an upside-down cross with arms broken!
Who'ddah thunk this one up?

i agree with kay on all accounts really. its a great idea, an i think if u were to get it done in nice handwritin in english it would look brilliant. the problem with gettin chinese characters is that u dont no if its right, plus u always have 2 explain to ppl wat it means, an it does get tiresome.

Hi...i just recently got my first tattoo.s with much of the same meaning' as your looking for..I myself went with chinese symbols...which i would really really recomend to you as im now gonna get more!!
