He hasn't been outside, just at school, and at piano lessons.

Is he allergic to something, did he rub up against something...Try taking Benadryl Allergy pills, they work miracles but to make you sleepy. They are small pink pills....hope you feel better.

Go to CVS pharmacy and get some aveeno anti itch cream.

It might be flaming red because he is scratching the heck out of it. First try washing the area with soap and water. There are ointments for itching in a cream, or calamine lotion next. If that does not resolve the issue, you might have to take him to the doctor. Try to get him to just keep his hands off of it for the time being -- the scratching continuously can make issues as well.

Use only antiseptic cream like Savlon, don't scratch at them or you will let in infection. Keep your arms and legs covered when sitting outside in the evening, plug in mosquito killers to elect., socket are quite good, close the windows at night too, spray the bedroom an hour or so before you go to bed. Buy a lotion that contains DEET use sparingly on the skin and it should stop further bites.

Sounds like an allergic reaction. Has he been outdoors where he might have had contact with plants?
Apply calomine lotion. If he doesn't get better in a few hours see a doctor.

well, a girl today got a reaction from red dye in a pair of loaner P.E. shorts today and that happened to her, so she changed. Maybe he is allergic to material in clothes, soap, or another thing. I suggest NOT using lotion (allergy possibilities) and go put him in a plain bathtub w/ no soap and taking a pain reliver like Tylenol (if it hurts).

Try using some emu oil, shea butter and calendula oil mixed into a lotion or body butter.
