I know there is a lot in Daniel which talks about the end, but I have not fully read Revelation.
It's also worth mentioning both the Bible and the Qur'an seem to indicate we're living in the last days, as prophecy in both is being fulfilled.
I recommend you read Daniel, as it is a short, quick and entertaining read, and much more easy to understand than Revelation.
---
"But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase." (Daniel 12:4) Jehovah's Witnesses claim this is their door-to-door preaching, Mormon's claim this is the books Joseph Smith revealed, yet others believe this is the books we're finding at archaeological sites like Oxyrhynchus.

Because the people who see Israel become a nation again will witness Christ's return.Since that happened in 1948 you can only figure that Christ must return by 2048. Wouldn't 2033 seem logical though? It would be exactly 2000 years after his ascension.
Plus another interesting parallel, Abraham was born 1,948 years after the Creation of the world according to the Bible, and Israel became a nation again 1,948 years after the birth of Christ. So if numbers signify anything, maybe Christ will return in 2033, exactly 2000 years after he left.
But I agree, people who show a Bible verse saying "the waters will pour down" and then they refer to a flood in Asia..... Thats just getting redundant.

People have thought that since the Resurrection of Jesus. No one knows but a certain few things must happen before the end times come near. Understanding the book of Revelations is no easy task. Many preachers think they have the answer but all are guessing.

There are theologians that have pronouced the signs of the end of world since there have been text. There are also other aborigines that have cut it in stone when the world was going to end..No man knows the end of the world..Its up to mother nature..It will come either as a nuclear war..I doubt this but will come when the earth changes climate and does its thing again..Then its up to us to see who survives..Maybe we can maybe we can't..The dinosaurs didn't but other species did.. so who knows.. what will happen..but the truth..no one can predict the end..Its all bunk..

According to the Bible, "the last days" refers to the time between the first and the second coming of Jesus Christ. So that means that we have been in the last days for 2,000 years.

Because when the preacher gets to the part where Jesus said "Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom." ...and the followers starting thinking, 'hey, wait a minute, there are no 2,000-year-old people walking around that I know of' ... the preacher explains that Jesus was speaking not to those gathered around him then, but those of you sitting here in this church listening to these words today.
