Why are most christians against gay marriage?

Pretty much the only answer I've received on the subject is "God says it is wrong." But isn't that only their God? If I don't have a religion, and therefore gay marraige isn't against it, why should it be banned when the constitution guarentees freedom of religion? There are no logical reasons to ban it. I think the majority of those opposing it are intollerant bigots hiding behind an outdated book.

Please show me any good that comes from Homosexual behavior. Marriage or not.

Then there is the legal issue. If it is legal then insurance companies will raise our rates also.

You refuse to accept what the vast majority want in the country. When things don't go the way you want you scream bigots.

Look, no matter where you go, people are going to be slowing down progress, because they're scared of the unknown, of things that are different. Hundreds of years ago, they used to burn 'witches' at the stake, who were probably women who were just different. A couple years ago, having a celebrity come out of the closet was unheard of. Now, in New Jersey, they allow two women to list their names as the parents on a birth certificate.

Just you watch, twenty or so years from now, we'll be telling our children, "I remember when Gays weren't even allowed to marry..."
"But mama, Gays marry all the time now"
"Didn't use to be that way..."

Some people say that the bible says this, and that God hates that, but how can you sit there, and speak for somebody else? For all WE know, their God could be banging their head up against the wall, muttering, "Why, WHY did I give them free will???"

And until that damn bible gets up and TALKS I don't give a **** WHAT it says. You cant stop progress babe. You can only slow it down.

So, just hang in there, and have faith. Because really, that's all we can do.

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

I have a God and Goddess, and both say gay marriage is fine.
Love is love, why does it matter if it's boy-girl, girl-girl, or boy-boy? It's all beautiful!

Also, Separation of Church and State... What the **** ever happened to it?!
